For newborn shoots I genreally  recommend the first four weeks of life, probably even the first two (when they are all sleepy, squishy and squashy). After that, wait until they are three months old and ready to show off their first precious smiles. I generally recommend newborn shoots in the comfort of your own home, which is a familar surrounding for the new little human and a place where everything is at hand, from nappies to comfy blankets. Your home is the place where family is happening and we therefore can hardly find a more meaningful surrounding for meaningful pictures.
